Fleecer is a mountain that is visible from some areas of Butte and sits near the town of Divide, Montana. It is a popular site for hunting, hiking, four-wheeling, and snowmobiling. Elk herds are often visible from the highway. Cattle ranches are situated in the valleys at its base, along with hayfields. The green of spring lasts through June and sometimes into July, giving way to the browns and tans of a hot, dry summer. The dry grasses of fall contrast beautifully with the golden colors of aspens.
