Image size: 4/3/8″ x 5 1/2″ Price: $4
Sesshu was a Japanese Zen Buddhist monk/artist who lived in Japan between 1420-1506. Sesshu was famous both in China and Japan for his ink paintings. At the temple where he lived, he created this garden for contemplation which is in Kyoto. Many today visit the temple, and to spend time in the garden in silence and meditation. I visited this temple in 2006 in November and the weather was delightful. I had written a term paper in college on this artist and so enjoyed the environment where he had come to live and create.
